Aluminium, Triclosan, Propylene Glycol, Parabens and Fragrances Are 5 reasons to ditch conventional deodorant. While I was surfing to find a safe alternative for conventional deo, I came across several homemade deodorant recipes and I have shared my own tried and tested DIY Homemade lavender deodorant.
Things needed for Homemade Lavender deodorant
- Baking soda – 3 tablespoon
- Arrowroot powder – 5 tablespoon
- Coconut oil – 3 tablespoon
- Lavender essential oil – 10 drops
- Vitamin E oil – 2 drops
How to make your own Homemade Lavender deodorant
In a clean bowl, add baking soda and arrowroot powder. Mix them well.


To this add coconut oil, lavender essential oil and vitamin E oil. Mix everything well and store it in a container. Our lavender deo is ready.

How to use Homemade Lavender deodorant
After bathing, take some deo and rub it between your fingers and apply it on the pulse points.
Why these ingredients?
Baking Soda
It is included in deodorants for its ability to absorb sweat and, due to its antibacterial properties, it takes curbing odour a step further. It helps to neutralize odour.
Arrowroot powder
Arrowroot powder helps to absorb moisture. It not only helps to serve as a thickener in this deodorant, but it also has the power to help draw out toxins.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil is a wonderful product to use as a base for deodorant because it kills fungi, yeast and bacteria
