To tackle different skin conditions I either whip up a DIY face mask or grab a face mask off shelves. I use face masks every day, yes I use hydrating face masks everyday and clay based mask once or twice a day. Including face masks on a daily basis helped me to heal my acne prone skin to a great extent. Today I’m gonna review Skincare villa Aloe and cucumber face mask which is a new addition to my face mask collection.
Ingredients
Kaolin clay, Bentonite clay, Aloevera powder and cucumber powder
Kaolin clay – kaolin clay sucks out impurities such as grime, dirt, pollution and germs from the pores. This cleanses out the pores and prevents them from clogging up and causing breakouts.
Bentonite clay – Helps in regeneration of new, healthy skin cells and tissues. Treats acne and prevents the formation of new acne and pimples. Deep cleanses the pores and pulls out grime, dead cells and product buildup in the skin. Loosens and removes blackheads and prevents them from forming. Removes and reduces the appearance of scars, dark spots, blemishes and other damage. Evens out the skin tone and improves complexion.
Aloe vera powder – Aloe vera’s antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties protect the skin from bacteria and other pathogens which lead to infection and inflammation. It contains substances – gibberellins and polysaccharides – that stimulate the growth of new cells, while glycoproteins reduce the inflammation and redness. As an astringent, Aloe Vera reduces pore size, which helps keep out excess sebum, dirt, and microbes.
Cucumber powder – Cucumbers are loaded with lots of nutrients like potassium, vitamins A and C that soothe skin conditions like sunburns. The astringent property of cucumber tightens pores and regulates sebum production.

Packaging and texture
Skincare villa Aloe and cucumber face mask comes in a sturdy plastic jar container. The container is spill proof and travel friendly.
The texture of the face mask is extremely soft and velvety. The powders are finely milled. The face mask doesn’t have any artificial fragrance, it has faint aroma of cucumber, when mixed with any liquid the fragrance of cucumber is noticeable.
My Views on Skincare villa Aloe and cucumber face mask
I have acne prone oily skin with large pores around my nose. Since I have almost healed my acne, I concentrated on the large pores issues and I included Skincare villa aloe cucumber face mask in my skincare routine. My skincare routine these days consists of astringent ingredients so as to shrink my large pores. Since this face mask has cucumber powder, I included this face mask in my skincare routine.
I take around half table spoon of the face mask in a bowl and add my DIY basil face mist to make a paste. It forms creamy mixture when mixed with any liquid. After oil cleansing and steaming my face, I apply even layer of this face mask and let it dry. Once the mask is 80% dry I wash my face with cold water. This aloe and cucumber face mask is a good tightening face mask and it helps to shrink pores when used properly. Post rinsing my skin feels smooth and fresh. It soaks up excess oil and due to the presence of clays. Aloe vera helps to prevent acne. It doesn’t leave my skin dry which usually happens with clay based mask. Overall I love this face mask
